About Us
What We Do
We pair each elementary school tutee with a high school volunteer tutor. Pairs can work together on homework, studying, or projects. The tutor will remain with the tutee for the duration of the event explaining concepts and ideas.
We provide pencils, paper, and erasers for the kids. All other supplies including worksheets, homework, art supplies, etc should be brought from home.
Why?
As high school students, we have experienced the struggles of being a student and understand the importance of academic success. We also understand that finding a good tutor is not always easy or affordable. We hope to combat these issues by creating a supportive learning environment.

Our biggest goal at Equity for Education is to provide free tutoring so every single kid can be academically successful. There should never be a price on education. The opportunity to learn should be equally available to every family.

We also understand the value of kids having positive role models to learn from. Our hopes in pairing kids with high school volunteers is they will have a more engaging, enriching learning experience.
